Nurturing Healthier Caregivers.

Promoting Self-care

Caregivers give selflessly. We’re here to help you remember that your health and wellness matter every day. Along with providing guidance on the caregiver role, we encourage you to use wearable devices to track and monitor your health. Our WITHINGS device bundle can purchased separately from the coaching sessions. The bundle includes 1 BPM Connect (Blood Pressure), 1 Sleep Mat (sleep tracking, heart rate and breathing disturbances), and 1 Body Scale (weight tracking). These devices connect to the WITHINGS Health Mate App and our Vertie Platform.

Poor Health

Caregivers suffer from poor health.

01

For adults 45 to 64 years of age: 24.4 % are in a caregiver role with many providing more than 20 caregiving hours per week and doing this for 2 or more years.

02

53% of caregivers say a decline in their health impacts being a good caregiver. The longer the caregiver role goes on without addressing this issue, the recipient of care will have a decline in health and caregiver’s health further declines.

03

Over the course of a month, close to 18% of caregivers experienced 14 or more days of poor health. Losing sleep? You’re not alone. Close to 37% of caregivers don’t get enough sleep.

Heart Disease

Caregivers get chronic health issues.

04

A caregiver will neglect their own care and health needs. Nearly 40% of caregivers have 2 or more chronic illnesses. Over 65? The number jumps to 53%.

05

Already have heart disease? Had a stroke? Being a caregiver is stressful and can add extra burden for taking care of yourself on top of caring for another person. It is important to place your own health as a priority and build a good support network.
